FAQ’s

Q: 1 What are the technology requirements?

Answer: Occupational therapy telehealth will be performed using a video conferencing program called Zoom. Zoom is compatible with computers, tablets, or phones. The only technology requirements are a stable internet connection and device with video camera capabilities!

Q: 2 Does OT2U accept insurance?

Answer: OT2U is a private-pay service and is considered out-of-network with all insurance companies. This means your child will be able to receive the services that best fit his/her needs, and not just the oftentimes limited services insurance will allow.

Q: 3 Do you really expect my child to sit in front of the computer for the full session?

Answer: No! We work with children ages 0-21. No matter the age, every child has a different attention span. We do not expect your child to maintain attention to the computer or phone screen for the entire session. Much of the session will include movement just like it would in person and parental coaching in which your therapist will tell you exactly what to do, using items in your home, giving you the power to engage your child and work on the targeted areas! Your therapist can also recommend seating arrangements to increase attention for parts of the session.

Q: 4 Do you also have concerns regarding your child’s speech and/or language development?

Answer: Through a holistic approach, your child can receive speech therapy services in addition to occupational therapy from a certified speech-language pathologist, Ms. Jessi, through the same teletherapy platform. As a sister duo, both Miss Brittany and Ms. Jessi are dedicated to using individualized techniques through a collaborative approach to producing the highest results possible. If you think your child could benefit from speech therapy, please contact Ms. Jessi of Speech For The Top: speechforthetop.com |slpmissjessi@gmail.com|954-489-8568

Q: 5 what is your pricing for OT services?

Answer: We believe at OT2U that finances should never come between a child that needs services. We work with families to create a plan that fits well within their budget. We use a completely family-centered approach that is unique to each and every child. There is no one set price or model that “fits all.” It is 100% individualized for the specific needs of you and your children. We are providers of the Gardiner scholarship.
